About Our Funeral Home and Our Commitment to You
In 1928, John C. and Miriam Murray purchased the former Rippith Funeral Home and moved to Creston, Ohio. It was the following year that John & Miriam purchased the funeral business of J.H. Hunter in Fredericksburg. John Murray operated the business until his death in 1961, when son, Garrison, and wife Alice took over the business.
In 1983, Garrison and Alice's son James Murray joined the business, and in 1989 son John G. Murray joined the family business. In 2023, John G. Murray's son, Garrison S. Murray, joined the business.
Murray Funeral Home has been a part of the Creston and Fredericksburg communities for over 95 years. We take great pride in the fact that we are family-owned and operated.
