Wilma June Turner, 84, of Wooster, passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after a one day illness.
Wilma was born Aug. 23, 1935 in Nicut, WV to the late William Rufus and Dora Maysel (McCumbers) King and retired from A.I. Root Candle Company in Medina. She had made her home in Medina for 45 years prior to moving to Wooster in 2015. Wilma enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and playing Aggravation but her greatest joy was being with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughters, Joyce Witucki of Wooster, Paula (Doug Houghton) Balash of Wooster and Sherri (James) Zamaiko of Naples, FL; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; step-children, Matt Turner, Mark Turner Jr., Terri Vanderhei and Chris Schleimer; sisters and brother, Wanda (John) Morgan of Sterling and Louise (Bruce) Knotts and David (Betty) King both of West Virginia and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 3 children, Phyllis Jordan, Deborah Derenberger and Phillip Lycans; 3 grandchildren; brothers, Paul and Stanley King and sisters, Virginia Davis, Bernice Arnold, Judy Memmer, Marla King and Lucille King.
Services will be Wednesday, Aug. 26th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Joe Silvestri officiating. Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery. Friend may call Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
