William David Watts, 62, of Rittman and formerly of Creston, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 20, 2020 surrounded by his family.
Willie was born Nov. 25, 1957 in Wayne County, WV to the late David and Verlia (Lewis) Watts and married the former Brenda Metheney on Oct. 1, 1982. He had worked at Advanced Bronze and had serviced and repaired lawn mowers and his home near Creston. Willie enjoyed buying, fixing and reselling lawn equipment, doing lawn work and playing his guitar and singing. Willie had helped coach his daughter’s softball teams in Creston for several years and he was a member of the Wadsworth Eagles
Surviving are his loving wife, Brenda; son, Brian Watts of Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law, Vanessa and Tim Foster of Creston; sisters, Doris (Danny) Hoke of Norton, Sheila (Tom Myers) Smith of Wadsworth and Lisa Hartley of West Virginia; nieces and nephews and Willie and Brenda’s “other” daughter, Jamie Howell of Rittman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Raymond and a sister Donna (Jim) Hale.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston were friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of services. Rev. Glenn Griffith and John Murray will officiate.
