Wilbert Dale Collins, 88, of Seville, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 after a lengthy illness with cancer.
He was born on Oct. 5, 1932 in Creston to the late Lloyd D. and Jennie A. (Weltmer) Collins and was a 1950 graduate of Creston High School. On Feb. 2, 1952 he married the former Cornelia June Hantz and she survives. Will retired from the Norfolk & Southern Railroad in 1994 after 44 years of service and had made his home near Seville for the past 69 years where he enjoyed working with his backhoe. He was an avid bowler having received a lifetime achievement award from Strike and Spare Lanes in Lodi where he bowled for many years. He had also bowled on a senior league in Medina for several years. Will always enjoyed his Pomeranian dogs that he had over the years and he will be missed.
Surviving are his wife of 69 years, June; his son, Stephen Collins; his daughter, Marilyn Hartman; 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Randy in 1985; his parents and a sister and brother-in-law, Nora and Charlie Wellman.
Graveside services will be Saturday, April 17th at 1:00 p.m. at Friendsville Cemetery. There will be no calling hours and tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
