Vivian Jenean Kahrig, 86, of Orrville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2020 at Accord Care Center in Orrville after a period of declining health.
Vivian was born on April 7, 1934 in Miltonsburg, Monroe County, OH to the late John and Elizabeth (Zwick) Reischman and was a graduate of Woodsfield High School. On May 28, 1955 she married Virgil Ray Kahrig and he preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 2014. Vivian retired from Rubbermaid, Inc. after 30 years and she and Virgil had operated Kahrig’s Kookin & Krafts from their home near Marshallville. She attended Orrville Baptist Church and had enjoyed crocheting and playing Bingo.
Surviving are her four children, Eugena Domkoski of Las Vegas, NV, Blenda (Doug) Palmer of Sterling, Melody Beery of Sterling and David (Violet) Kahrig of Apple Creek; 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son-in-law, Dean Beery and sisters, Viola McLaughlin, Isabel Goody, Anna Clift and her twin sister, Phyllis Ewers.
Services will be Tuesday, Feb. 2nd at 12:30 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Brad Dews officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
