Treva Marcine Wirth, 93, of Wooster and formerly of Creston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020 at the Avenue of Wooster after a period of declining health.

Treva was born Aug. 25, 1927 near Creston to the late Floyd E. and Alta M. (Hartel) Gingery and was a 1945 graduate of Sterling High School.  She married Dale J. Wirth on June 30, 1947 and he preceded her in death on May 3, 2010.  Treva retired from Wayne Mutual Insurance in 1997 and had previously worked at the Ohio Box Board, for Harry Hawk Livestock Sales and Auctioneering and had been a professional seamstress.  Treva was a faithful member of Sterling United Methodist Church where she was the choir director, the Sunday School Superintendent and was a member of the Women’s Guild.  She was a member of the Wooster Chapter of the Sweet Adeline’s. Treva enjoyed many trips with Dale to Lion’s Club events, was a compassionate friend and loved playing cards, sewing quilts, reading and music.  Her greatest accomplishment was being a Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother and she will be missed.

Surviving are her children, Carol Bozich of Atlanta, GA, Rev. Cathy Wirth of Sycamore, OH and Robert and Trisha Wirth of Goodyear, AZ; her grandchildren, Jacob (Hilary) Jessica, Zachary, Whitney (Jason) and Tyler (Victoria); great-grandchildren, Carter, Jaxson, Lucas, Sawyer, Addison, Darren, Grace, Layne, Dallas and Dakota and many nieces and nephews.

Treva was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dale, her 7 sisters, Thelma Uhler, Fern Sayre, Betty Lucas, Clara Schaffter, LaVonne “Bonnie” Shaffer, Donna Davis and infant Mada and a brother Floyd “Pete” Gingery.
