Thomas Mitchell “Mitch” Hackel, 73, of Wooster passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
Mitch was born Oct. 31, 1947 in Wilmington, NC to the late Tom Watson and Virginia Ann (Thrush) Hackel. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1967 – 1969 having served in Vietnam. Mitch retired from Applied Energy Products in Canton in 2013 and had made his home in Wooster for the past 20 years.
Surviving is his wife, Jeanne Ann Frase who he married on Jan. 31, 2013; sons, Mitchell (Susan) Hackel of Reisterstown, MD and Don (Christy) Ebaugh of Hampstead, MD; daughter, Ashley Hackel of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Madelyn and Don Ebaugh; a brother, David (Phyllis) Hackel of Wooster; a sister, Patricia Boettcher of Toms River, NJ and several nieces and nephews.
