Terry Kevin Eagle, 75, of Creston, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Jackson Ridge Care Center in Canal Fulton after a period of declining health.
Terry was born on Oct. 12, 1946 in Clay, West Virginia to William Ralph and Orla (Ray) Eagle and was a 1965 graduate of Norwayne High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 – 1968 and on May 3, 1968 he married Barbara Ann Ferguson who survives. Terry had worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years having worked at the Arlington Road Office in Akron and had been a Union Representative for several of those years. He had also operated Eagle Roofing. Active in the Creston Community, Terry served on the Village Council and had served as Mayor for one term. He was a member of the Creston Moose Lodge and the Creston American Legion Post 497. Terry enjoyed going to car shows and he always loved showing off his 1938 Buick which was his pride and joy.
Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Barb; his sons and daughters-in-law, David and Tammy Eagle of Massillon and Troy and Suzanne Eagle of Creston; 2 grandchildren, Brandon and Madison Eagle and three step-granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Kylee and Casey He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Clayton Eagle.
Friends may call on Monday, June 6th from 5-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. Interment with Military Honors will be on Tuesday, June 7th at 9:45 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
