Obituary
Shelley Diane Tyo, 67, of Wooster, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after a lengthy illness.
Shelley was born on Feb. 25, 1956 in Lima, OH to Errol G. and Lois Jean (Cottrell) Hillard and graduated from New Knoxville High School. On Dec. 20, 1977 she married Ricky L. Tyo and they shared 47 years together. Shelley enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening and yodeling. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she will be greatly missed.
Surviving is her husband, Rick; children, Shawn Hillard of Orrville, Shanon L. (Zachariah) Raber of West Salem and Rochelle (Andrew) Blackwood of Sterling; her 10 grandchildren, Wyatt, Garrett, Lucas and Jaxon Hillard, Jessica Tyo, Savannah Wogerman, Autumn Stamp, Hannah Yeagley, Hayden Tyo and Harley Blackwood; great-granddaughter, Roslin Everhart and her brothers and sister, Daniel Hillard, Dolores Beverley, Greg Hillard and Martin Hillard. Her parents and a brother, Stephen Hillard preceded her in death.
Services will be Friday, April 14th at 11:30 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with burial following in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until time of services on Friday at 11:30. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
