Roy D. Yoder, 74, of Fredericksburg, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 26, 2021 at his home after a brief illness.
Roy was born Oct. 12, 1946 in Dover to the late Dan S. and Sarah (Detweiler) Yoder and retired from Triple H Plumbing. He had having previously worked at Better Built Storage for 20 years and for the past 10 years, Roy enjoyed doing Amish transporting. He was an accomplished according player having played with the John Schmid Band and was an avid fast pitch softball pitcher in the area. Roy loved the outdoors and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a faithful member of the Salem Mennonite Church where he served as an elder and he will be greatly missed.
Surviving are two sisters, Ada Mae (Reuben) Miller of Winesburg and Anna Kaye (Andy) Troyer of Fredericksburg; 10 nieces and nephews and 28 great-niece and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Andy Paul and Sam.
Services will be Tuesday, March 30th at 10:00 a.m. at Salem Mennonite Church, 7012 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster with Pastors David Hargrave and Joel Miller officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Memorial Park at Salem Mennonite Church. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Mennonite Church.
