Roy A. Miller, 82, of Holmesville, walked into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Roy was born on Aug. 23, 1941 in Millersburg to Abe and Katie (Miller) Miller and married Barbara Lynn Valentine on March 25, 1983. He owned and operated Roy Miller Logging and RA Miller Energy. Roy was a member of Mount Zion Church of God in Wooster and is remembered for always helping others and for having a heart of widows. He enjoyed fishing and the Cleveland Indians and he loved his family and the Lord.
Surviving is his wife, Barbara of 41 years; children and their spouses, Loretta and Charlie Simmers of Sapulpa, OK, Roy Jr. and Megan Miller of Millersburg, Marcee Miller of Kodak, TN, Sirena and Francis Ward of Ft. Carson, CO and Jeff and Samantha Houser of Fredericksburg; 17 grandchildren, Ashley (Eric) Williams, Courtney Smail, Jordan , Hannah and Lane Smallen, Branden, Isabella and Brody Gindlesberger, Xena Ward, Kaden, Austin, Landon, Mason, Gracie and Sabastian Houser, Mya Miller and Tiffany (Aaron) Yoder; a soon expected great-grandchild; a brother, Levi (Naomi) Miller of Holmesville and a sister, Mary Hochstetler of Walnut Creek.
He was preceded in death by daughters, Jessica Miller and Michelle Gindlesberger.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Church of God, 837 S. Geyers Chapel Rd., Wooster with Bishop Ron martin, Rev. Tom Geissinger and Pastor Ben Crouch. Burial will be in Prairie Township Cemetery. Friends may call Monday, April 1st from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Iris B. Vest SpiritCare Center, 509 Park Rd., Sevierville, TN 37862 Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
