Rosemary E. Lowe

Rosemary E. Lowe, 94, of Wadsworth and formerly of Rittman, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023. 

Rosemary was born in Creston on Aug. 1, 1928 to Harrison W. and Frances Ruth (Mohler) Shannon and married Carl Lowe on April 9, 1949.  He preceded her in death on March 8, 1993.  She attended Rittman High School and later received her L.P.N. degree.  Rosemary had worked at Wayne General Hospital, Dr. Dino Carozza, the Shady Rest Nursing Home in Creston and retired from Dunlap Hospital in Orrville. A member of the Country Music Association, she had been a member of the band, Rosemary and the Road Runners, and later the music group Renew.  She was a member of the Orrville American Legion and  had enjoyed crocheting, sewing and quilting.

Surviving is her children and spouses, Ron and Juanita Lowe of Orrville, Jim Lowe of Rittman, Jon and Jannie Lowe of Rittman and Lisa and Bob Porter of Rittman; grandchildren, Georgianna Lowe, Bubba Porter, Mason Porter, Chandler Lowe, Jarodd Ralston, Samantha Ralston and Rainelle Elliott and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a daughter Patty Frazier Ralston and sisters, Donna Robinson and Marilyn Juilleret.

Services will be Tuesday, Jan. 31st at 11:00 a.m. at Rittman Community Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor John Castle officiating.  Burial will be in Rittman Cemetery.  Friends may call Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc. or to the donor’s favorite charity.
