Ronald Dean Todd, 70, of Wooster, passed away unexpectedly on November 25, 2020.
He was born in Wooster to Willis B. and Orene L. (Fry) Todd on September 24, 1950. Ron was a 1968 graduate of Triway High School and went on to study at Youngstown State and Kent State before gaining employment at the OARDC where he spent 10 years working. He recently retired after working 20 years with Wooster City Schools.
Ron could be found over the years with friends on area golf courses after taking up the game as rehab following a surgery for a benign brain tumor in the 1990s. He would spend his Sundays worshipping and visiting with friends and family at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, Church of God, and Moreland United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his twin sister, Shelva Wachtel.
He will be remembered by his is brother Albert (Sue Craft) Todd of Holmesville; brother-in-law, Larry “Butch” Wachtel of Wooster; nephew, Scott (Crystal) Wachtel of Akron and nieces, Kristina Wachtel of Wooster and Pamela (Joe) Cherubino of Delaware.
Funeral services will be private for the family on Monday, Nov. 30th at 1:00 p.m. at Moreland United Methodist Church with burial following in the Moreland Cemetery. Pastor Steve Smith will officiate. Family and friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of the services at the church.
