Ronald Lee Schriber, 73, of Wooster, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 after a battle with cancer.
Ron was born on Oct. 13, 1948 and was the son of Robert E. and Ruth M. (Gibbs) Schriber. He graduated from Northwest High School in 1967 and had worked for the Packaging Corp. of America in Rittman for 39 years. He had made his home in Creston for many years having spent the past 11 years in Massillon until moving recently to Wooster. He had served on the Creston Fire Dept. and had coached his kids’ sports teams while they were growing up. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and gardening as well as watching old movies.
Surviving is his daughter, Dr. Rebecca Russell of Wooster; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald "Tuffy" and Dawn Schriber of Creston; 6 grandchildren, Layla, Landrey and Loudon Russell, Mitchell and Lane Knieriem and Wesley Schriber; his mother, Ruth Rasnake of Navarre; a brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Chris Schriber of Minerva; his special friend, Karlene Riley of Massillon and his former wife, Dianne Schriber of Wooster. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert in 1998.
Friends may call Saturday, May 21st from 2-4 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. A family service will be held following. Burial will be at a late date in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
