Robert Henry Weaver

Robert Henry Weaver, 90, of Wooster and formerly of Fredericksburg passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022 in Avon Park, Florida after a brief illness.

Bob was born on Sept. 22, 1931 in Daytona Beach, FL to the late James and Ruth (Hageman) Weaver.  He graduated from Killbuck High School and served in the U.S. Army as a Medic during the Korean War.  On Jan. 26, 1950 he married Lorna L Fickes and she preceded him in death on May 28, 2008.  On Jan. 1, 2011 he married Christine Herald Massoud and she survives.  Bob retired from Akron Brass in Wooster and attended West Hill Baptist Church in Wooster.  He was an avid fisherman and he and Christie enjoyed spending the fall and winter months in Florida.  Over the years he loved to travel and camp in the many places that he visited.

Surviving are his wife, Christie; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Baw Weaver, Dave and Peg Weaver and John and Peg Weaver all of Wooster; 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a brother, Jim Weaver of Arlington, TX.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorna;  his parents, brothers, Dick and Walter and sisters, Donna and Dora.

Services will be Saturday, May 14th at 10:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with Rev. Eric Fairhurst officiating.  Burial will be in Fredericksburg West Cemetery.  Friends may call Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
