Robert William Pope

Robert W. Pope, 84, of Seville and formerly of Creston, passed away peacefully  at home on Friday, Nov. 6, 2020 after a period of declining health.

Bob was the eighth child born to Leonard and Helen (Darr) Pope on Oct. 9, 1936 in Cleveland.  He married the former Shirley M. Brown on May 28, 1957 and she survives.  He had made his home in the Creston/Burbank area most of his life and retired from Modern Tool and Die in Cleveland in 2001 after 36 years of service. Bob was an avid golfer and bowler having been on many industrial leagues.  The high point of his bowling career was bowling a perfect 300 game which he received a ring from the American Bowling Congress.  Bob also enjoyed building thing and tinkering around the house and he will be truly missed.

Surviving are his Shirley; children, Nancy (Bill) Milczewski of Seville, Cindy (Don) Buckohr of New Franklin and Randy Pope of Wooster; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren with one on the way; brothers, Ray (Bev) Pope of Seville, Thomas (Patsy) Pope of Copperas Cove, TX and Bruce (Joyce) Pope of Homerville; a sister, Cheryl (Ron) Eagle of Jeromesville and a sister-in-law, Lois Pope. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harvey and Leonard and sisters, Ruth, Doris and Lorene.

Services will be Monday, Nov. 9th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.  Burial will be in Burbank Cemetery.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
