Paul Damron, 82, of West Salem, unexpectedly went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022 after a brief illness.
Paul was born in Dunlow, WV on Nov. 4, 1939 to the late Lon and Mary (Wallace) Damron and married Janet Irene Marcum on April 9, 1961. He retired from Volvo White in Orrville in 1994 after 34 years of service and had made his home in Creston prior to moving to the Lodi/West Salem area. An outdoors man, Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing and chopping wood.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he leaves behind his wife, Janet; daughters, Brenda (Rick) Harper of West Salem and Lisa Damron of Smithville; grandchildren, Veronica (Kevin) Whatman Wise, Jessica Harper Coleman and Michael Paul Harper; great-grandchildren, Marissa, Jillian and Olivia Wise, Aubrey Rose and Conor Coleman.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph and Glen Damron and half-brothers and half-sisters, John, Roy and Noah Lovins, Dave and Kurt Damron, Eva, Nellie, Nora Belle, and Hazel Lovins and Etta May, Virginia, Mary and Leona Damron.
Services will be Saturday, Jan. 8th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services. Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
