Paul Aaron Brumfield, 78, of Creston, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023 after a period of declining health.
Paul was born on March 7, 1945 in Crown City to James and Beulah (Wallace) Brumfield and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1965- 1967. On April 3, 1971 he married Betty Louise Fulks and they made their home in Creston for the past 52 years. Paul retired from Morton Salt in 2004 after 35 years and was a member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and working in the garage and he is remembered for always helping others and for his wonderful sense of humor.
Surviving is his wife, Betty; his daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Keith Meng of Creston; “His Little Girl”, granddaughter, Devyn Strausbaugh and fiancé Niko “Peaks”; step-granddaughter, Taylor and husband Derek Locklear and great-grandsons, Jax; sister-in-law, Wanda Brumfield of Creston; nieces and nephews and those known as his “Fake Sons”.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Norman, Myron Dale and James “Ed” Brumfield
Friends may call Sunday, Sept. 17th from 2-5 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. Graveside services will be held on Monday, Sept. 18th at 2:00 p.m. at Crown City Cemetery in Crown City, Ohio.
