Nona Faye “Grandma Nona” Dean, 70, of Wadsworth, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Akron Summa Hospital after a brief illness.
Nona was born April 17, 1950 in Fort Gay, WV to the late Bascom “Ted” and Greta "Mickey" (Boyce) Dean. She had been a caregiver for many years having done elder care and was a fun loving person who never met a stranger. Nona enjoyed crocheting, watching old TV shows, traveling and spending time with her grandkids.
Surviving are her children, Shelly (Brian Bachman) White of Akron, Russell “Rusty” Wilson of Colorado and Sheila (Jeff Livingston) Wilson of North Carolina; her 5 grandchildren, Cortney White, Shani, Ainsley and Taylor Wilson and Mariah Wilson; 10 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sister, Walter “Butch” (Susan) Dean of Rittman, Brenda (Bill) Metheney of Creston, Ernest (Mark) Dean of Wadsworth, Jay “Bud” (Connie) Dean of Sterling and Carl Dean of Wadsworth and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dianna Furman.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 30th at 2:00 p.m. at Creston Maple Mound Cemetery (Old side of the cemetery) with Rev. John Castle officiating. There will be no calling hours and tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston, OH 44217 to assist with final expenses.
