Nolan John Fleharty

Nolan John Fleharty, 80, of Creston, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Summa Barberton Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Nolan was born on Feb. 5, 1942 in Warren, IL to the late George and Evelyn (Vipond) Fleharty and served in the U.S. Navy from 1959-1963.  On June 30, 1962 he married Phyllis J. Reed and she preceded him in death on June 24, 2017.  He had been a manufacturing manager at Cleveland Metal for 30 years and retired from Tring Corp. in Wooster.  He had made his home in Creston for the past 27 years having previously resided in Cleveland.  Nolan loved doing yard work, woodworking and reading and he was very gifted for he could do anything with his hands. 

Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jim Fosdick of Creston; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Becky Fleharty of Middleburg Heights; grandchildren, Samantha and her husband David Lee and Nolan Fosdick; great-grandson, Nolan Fosdick and his faithful companion, Yona.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis, his parents and brothers, Joel, Jim and Dick.

Services will be Monday, May 9th at 1:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with burial following at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  Friends may call Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
