Obituary
Matthew Lewis Ferguson, 21, of Lodi, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Akron General Hospital.
Matthew was born on Jan. 22, 2002 in Wooster to Timothy Daniel and Heather June (Dobbins) Ferguson. He graduated from Cloverleaf High School in 2021 and worked at McDonalds in Seville. Matthew enjoyed art and drawing, Harry Potter, collecting magic wands and playing video games. He loved to dance with his mother and they are together dancing in heaven.
Surviving is his father, Tim of Lodi; his grandparents, Frank “Dan” and Betty Jean Ferguson of Burbank and Dennis Dobbins of Lodi; aunt, Shelly Bacon and her daughters, Jennifer and Katie and great-aunts and great-uncles and cousins including special great-aunt, Sue Manogue.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Heather on July 16, 2022 and his grandmother, Rose Marie Dobbins.
Celebration of Matthew’s life will be Saturday, April 29th at 5:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Stephen Olsen officiating. Friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. until time of services at 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association, 1300 Wilson Blvd., Suite 600, Arlington, VA 22209.
