Marvin Cook

Marvin Cook, 66, of Seville, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021 at the home of his daughter Angela, in West Salem after a brief illness.

Marvin was born on Dec. 10, 1954 in Knott Co., KY to the late Enon and Zola (Thornsberry) Cook and married the love of his life, Kathy Drayer on Jun 9, 1990.  She preceded him in death on Jan. 1, 2019.  Marvin retired from Gerstenslagers in Wooster with over 35 years of service and will be remembered for many things, some of those including being an ornery stubborn man that loved his dogs, but above all else being an amazing caregiver to his wife during her battle with cancer.  

Surviving are his children, Tim Cook, Angela Ratlilff, Misty Cook, Chad Dean (Rushelle)and Robby (Nicki) Dean; his grandchildren children, Damion, Colin, Ciera (Tyler), Coby (Avery), Mason, Victoria, Taylor, Vaneassa,Curtis, Nathaniel, Abbigail, Isaiah, Madison and Chalissa; great-grandchildren, Aubrielle, Juliana, Charlee and Arabella. siblings; Doug (Margie) Cook, Phyllis (Kevin) Daly, Nadene Conley, Aileen “Tootie” Rymanowicz; in-laws  David (Kelly) Drayer and Connie (Bud) Harger;  many nieces and nephews and special friend's Danny, Jess, Terry and Bonnie Bunting Bill and Patty Payne,  Billy Payne

He was preceded in death by is wife Kathy, granddaughters, Kelsey and Zoely, his parents; in-law, Earl and Thelma Drayer;  a sister, Joyce (Glen) Martin, brothers-in-law, Ishmael Conley, John Odum, Loyd Conley, Steve Rynanowicz and Bud and Jim Drayer.

Services will be Friday, Nov. 19th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Delane McDaniel officiating.  Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services on Friday.   Following the burial, a small meal will be provided at the Creston Community Center where family and friends can gather.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
