Martha Troyer Obituary

Martha J. Troyer, 86, of 7414 S. Carr Rd., Fredericksburg, died Saturday evening, Aug. 6, 2022 at Wooster Community Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born in Wayne County on Jan. 4, 1936 to the late John J.M. and Sarah (Byler) Byler and married Jacob E. Troyer on Nov. 15, 1956.  She was a member of the New Order Christian Fellowship.

Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Jacob; her children, Amanda and Ben Troyer of Apple Creek, Mahlon and Joanne Troyer of Millersburg, Miriam Burkholder of Cynthiana, KY, Viola and Lonnie Weaver of Fredericksburg and Anna Troyer and Rhoda Troyer both of the home; 25 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren; a brother, William Byler of Killbuck; sisters, Anna Yoder of Deer Lodge, TN and Jemima Shetler of Fredericksburg; sisters-in-law, Ella Byler of Apple Creek and Amanda Troyer of the home.

Martha was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Levi Miller Jr., son-in-law, Robert Burkholder; daughter-in-law, Betty Troyer, brother, Mahlon Byler, sister, Emily Byler; sisters-in-law, Lizzie Byler and Edna Byler and brothers-in-law, Eli D. Yoder and Dan M. Shetler.

Services will be Tuesday, Aug. 9th at 9:00 a.m. at the Joseph Miller Residence, 7750 Weaver Road, Fredericksburg with Bishop Roy Keim officiating.  Burial will be in the Troyer Cemetery, Salt Creek Twp., Wayne County.  Friends may call after 5:00 p.m. on Sunday and anytime on Monday at the Joseph Miller residence.  Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
