Mark Jay Weaver, 61, went into the loving arms of Jesus on Monday, Oct. 2, 2023 at the Cleveland Clinic while surrounded by his wife and children.
Mark was born on Jan. 28, 1962 in Millersburg to Ivan E. and Clara (Hershberger) Weaver and married Shelley Coblentz on Oct. 28, 1989. He was the owner of Ivan Weaver Construction in Fredericksburg and had made his home in Fredericksburg until moving to Lake Buckhorn in November of 2022. Mark was recently honored as Fredericksburg Citizen of the Year for all his contributions to the Fredericksburg Community. He attended Fairlawn Mennonite Church and loved hunting, fishing and traveling.
Mark will be greatly missed by his wife, Shelley and his children, Cody Weaver, Tyler Weaver, Shayne and his wife Jennifer Weaver and Lexi and her husband Drew Hostetler all of Fredericksburg. He was awaiting his two grandchildren who are on the way and is also survived by his mother, Clara Weaver of Fredericksburg; brothers and sisters, Ian and Robin Weaver of Wooster, Cindy and Ivan Wengerd of Dalton, Robert and Katie Weaver of Fredericksburg and Rose and Merle Miller of Sarasota, FL and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Weaver in 2022.
Services will be Saturday, Oct. 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Fairlawn Mennonite Church where friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Apple Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the South Central Fire Dept. for the new station, 288 S. Mill St., Fredericksburg, OH 44627 or to Harvest for Hunger, c/o Holmes Co. Farm Bureau, 377 W. Liberty St., Wooster, OH 44691. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
