Marion Frank Obituary

Marion Miller Frank, 89, of Loudonville, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Majora Lane Care Center in Millersburg.

He was born on June 10, 1934, in the house he lived in all of his life on the family farm to Welker and Lucy (Dunkle) Frank.  He graduated from Loudonville High School in 1952 and on April 23, 1972, married Connie Smith who survives. His first job off the farm was working at Flexible in Loudonville. He left this job to raise two sons and work the farm. After a major surgery and no health insurance, he went back to work, working at CNC in Wooster, and Liqui Box in Ashland where he washed down walls, and later finished out his employment off the farm at Smithville Manufacturing in Wooster, where he retired.  Marion was a farmer all of his life, having always raised sheep, with around ninety in his younger years.  He had a passion for birds and bees, having built many bird houses that he placed all over his farm and bee hives with over twenty-one hives that he tended to.  For someone who enjoyed working with bees, he sure swore a lot.  Marion enjoyed talking to people, and would talk for hours, even when farm work that was time dependent needed done. He was known for his giving to others whether it was money to people, organizations that called or mailed requests to him or the use of his farm for hunting.  Sometimes people took advantage of him and his actions would impact his family and it has been said that he has given and given and given.

Surviving is his wife, Connie; sons Tom and his wife Collette Frank and Forest Frank and three grandchildren, Jennavieve, Julia and Landon.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a half sister and her husband, Edith and Burnell Schindler.

Services will be Saturday, April 27th at 1:00 p.m. at Prairie Township Cemetery in Holmesville.  There will be no calling hours.  Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
