Marilyn Anne Lambright Griffin

Marilyn Anne Griffin, 92, of Sterling, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023 at the Avenue at Wooster after a life well lived.

She was born in Fostoria on Aug. 4, 1931 to Arnold C. and Juanita (Cox) Rathburn and graduated from Fostoria High School in 1949.  On Nov. 12, 1949 she married Jack E. Lambright Sr., and he preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 1977.  Marilyn worked in many professions over the years including Angie’s Restaurant and at the Wright Patterson Credit Union.  She enjoyed quilting and sewing and time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Jack (Sally) Lambright of Sharon Center, OH,  Larry D. (Nok-Yupin) Lambright of Takhli, Thailand, Rick Lambright of Kennesaw, GA and Jill Anne (Terry) Buckingham of Sterling, OH; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren: a sister, Ruth Ellen (Gary) Zuber of Stockton, MO and sisters-in-law, Carol Rathburn and Karen Rathburn.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack E. Lambright Sr. and William T. Griffin; a son, Timothy Lambright in 1994; grandsons, Zachary Lambright in 2021 and infant twins Joshua and Chad Lambright, a great-grandson, Christian Lambright in 2017 and brothers, Thomas and Steve Rathburn.

Services will be Wednesday, Nov. 15th at 12:00 noon at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Akron.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
