Marie Elaine (Weaver) Roland

Marie Elaine Roland, 80, of Creston, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023.

Marie was born in Creston on Aug. 24, 1942 to the late Russell and Dorothy Helen (Halliwell) Weaver.  She retired from Plasti-Kote in Medina where she retired from after 26 years and was a faithful member of Canaan Free Will Baptist Church.  Marie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, and she enjoyed collecting frogs.

Surviving is her husband, Kenneth G. Roland who she married on June 11, 2016; children, Tina Cotner of Wooster, Dorothy (Edward) Belle of Chippewa Lake, James (Lucy) Sidwell of Chippewa Lake and Ronald (Jane) Sidwell of Medina; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, a brother, Paul (Linda) Weaver of Medina; a sister, Dyanne (Gary) Susteric of Little River, SC and a brother-in-law, Rudy Kerr of North Ridgeville.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Kyle Walker, son-in-law, David Cotner, her parents and sisters, Marty Sidwell and Linda Kerr.

Services will be Friday, Aug. 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. Aaron Bailey officiating.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Canaan Free Will Baptist Church, PO 167, Box Creston, OH 44217.
