Leonard F. "Ducky" Rock

Leonard F. “Ducky” Rock, 90 of Parma Heights died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023 at UH Hospital in Parma after a brief illness.

Lenny was born in Creston on July 25, 1933 to Willis and Mildred (McGlothlin) Rock and served in the U.S. Navy.   He married Virgie Kiser on May 14, 1960 and she survives.  Lenny retired in 1986 from the Cleveland Police Dept. after 30 years of service and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Police Masonic Fellowcraft, the Retired Irish Police and the Parma Archery Club.  Ducky enjoyed hunting and taking his cars to car shows and he always loved people and telling his many, many stories.

Surviving is his wife, Virgie of 63 years; his son, Joseph (Ree) Rock of West Salem; grandchildren, Katie and Seth Rock; Godson, Daniel Frisco of Denver and sisters, Marian Rock and Lura Sherbondy.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Karl Lee Rock and Danny Rock

Friends may call Friday, Oct. 13th from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home , 173 S. Main St., Creston, OH where services will be held at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
