Leanne passed peacefully on Wednesday January 13th. She was born Dec. 13th, 1942 and raised in the Westpark neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of Louis and Lenore (Close) Snanigan. Leanne graduated from Magnificat HS in 1960. She became a registered respiratory therapist and the highlight of her career was her service at Mt. Sinai hospital which she always referred to as the “best hospital in the world.” Leanne loved meeting people, she traveled the world and made many friends on every adventure. Never afraid of a challenge, she rode a mechanical bull for her 65th birthday and stepped out on the salsa dance floor when she turned 67. She planned to go white water rafting with her granddaughter in the spring. Leanne was worldly and wise and her greatest adventures were with her family and friends. She enjoyed volunteering and thrift shopping. Leanne was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lois and her infant daughter Margaret Ann (Peggy) McCarthy. Leanne is survived by her children Patty (Richard) Murphy of Creston and Christine (Greg) Gorey of West Salem. Her grandchildren Patrick and Ann Murphy and Daniel Gorey, nephew Dan and family and many wonderful friends and relatives. Following her wishes there will be no services at this time. The family will plan a celebration of life for the Summer of 2021
