Kevin Lee Hanzie

Kevin Lee Hanzie, 62, of Rittman, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023.

Kevin was born on May 4, 1961 in Wadsworth to Larry Lee and Janet Annette (Mantz) Hanzie and graduated from Norwayne High School in 1979.  On April 12, 1980 he married Jeannette Denise Wiles and she preceded him in death on Oct. 20, 2018.  They are together once again.  Kevin was co-owner of Lizzie Mae Birdseed and Pleasant Valley Trucking and he will be missed by all at the company.  He was a member of Northside Christian Church where he had been active in the Cancer Ministry and in recent years enjoyed listening to service on-line.  Kevin enjoyed time with his grandkids and spending time at the Coshocton County property with friends and family.  He also was a craftsman who enjoyed woodworking.
Surviving is his daughter and son-in-law, Jenelle and James Pamer of Rittman; his son, Kyler Hanzie of Royal Oak, MI; his three grandchildren, James, Jonah and Joanna Pamer; his parents, Larry and Jan Hanzie of Rittman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kim and John Deuber of Wadsworth and Kris and Sam Ulery of North Ridgeville and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday, Sept. 30th at 11:00 a.m. at Northside Christian Church with burial following at Rittman Cemetery.  Friends may call Friday from 3-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston and on Saturday from 10 – 10:45 a.m. at the church.  Memorial contributions in Kevin’s memory may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home, 10680 Steiner Rd., Rittman, OH 44270 in honor of Kevin’s mother, Jan, who is a resident and is wonderfully cared for.
