Junior Lewis Reed

Junior Lewis Reed, 86,  passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2020 at the home of his son in Mansfield after a brief illness.

He was born May 16, 1934 in Port Homer, OH to the late William Russell and Bertha (Barber) Reed and married the former Marian Geiger on Oct. 4, 1958.  He severed in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 – 1957 and retired from Ford Motor Co. after 33 years of service.  Junior had made his home in Wooster for nearly 30 years later moving to the Cinnamon Lake area.  He enjoyed watching football and baseball and loved being with his grandkids.

Surviving are his wife Marian of Ashland; children, Terry (Annette) Reed of Mansfield, Judy Reed of West Salem, Sue Robbins of Columbus and Teresa (Michael) Ladrich of Rittman; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. 

Junior was preceded in death by a son, David Reed; his parents; brothers, William, Leonard and George; sisters, Elsie Hood, Martha Myers, Audrey Myers and Jearlen Ward and 3 infant brothers and sisters.

Services will be Thursday, Aug. 6th at 12:00 noon at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.  Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com  Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Health Hospice, 800 McConnell Blvd.,  Columbus, OH 43214
