John Stachler Obituary

 

John T. Stachler, 90, of Medina, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 at Medina Hospital.

He was born Dec. 22, 1929 in Dayton to the late F. Henry and Ann (Weber) Stachler.  John graduated from Chaminade High School in Dayton in 1948 and attended the University of Dayton.  He spent most of his working life in the automotive aftermarket, serving in sales and marketing positions for several manufacturers and automotive warehouses before creating his own sales agency.  He retired in 1999 and spent more than 10 years as a volunteer at the Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital.  John described that experience as “the best and most rewarding years of my life”.  He was a longtime member of First Christian Church in Medina having served on various committees and participated in many mission and community projects. 

John was preceded in death by his wife, Carol (McIntosh) Stachler in 2015 and sisters, Ruth, Betty and Virginia all who had lived in the Dayton area.  He is survived by his children, Steven Stachler of Carrollton, GA, Sheri Dunmoyer of Redding, CA and Scott (Mary) Stachler of Creston; six grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
