Joann Munyan Obituary

Joann “Hoadley” Munyan, (84) formally of the Creston/Seville area passed on Sunday, June 7, 2020 from this crazy, messed up world to find peace, and comfort, with loved ones gone before her. Born in Zanesville, Ohio April 7, 1936 to Paul and Nellie Hoadley she was the last of 9 children. She was married for 47 years to husband Clarence “Casey” Munyan and had 2 children Patricia Munyan Cook and David Munyan. She was a massive animal lover and would forget we existed if you had an animal, she could enjoy time with. Joann used to sit for hours reading cheesy love novels, and spent many hours in the past doing artwork, but her most joy came from her family, and her beloved dog Lilly, who was most definitely her favorite child and her constant companion.  She had a wicked sense of humor, and thoroughly enjoyed messing with her kids, and grandkids by hiding and jumping out to scare us or flipping us off depending on her mood, but don’t worry we got her back every chance we got! She was a crazy old lady that we loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her husband Casey Munyan who is expecting coffee upon arrival, he will be shocked to find out times have changed… (I can hear her now, get your own coffee Munyan, it’s been 21 years I got a new attitude since you have been gone), also preceding her were Mother Nellie “Hoadley” Hollingshead, Father Paul William Hoadley.  Sisters Francis Robbins, Earla Factor, Bonnie Wisecarver, Florence “Ault” Moore, Delores “Huffman” Kauf   Brothers Paul William Hoadley Jr., Emmett “Bud“Hoadley and Robert “Bob” Hoadley.

Joann is survived by Daughter Patricia “Munyan” Cook (Don), Son David Munyan (Janet), Grandchildren, David Munyan Jr, Amanda Burkhart, Shawn Cook, Aaron & Sam Munyan, Great grandchildren Kasey &Kylie Burkhart and Ryan Munyan. And Most of all the one who really matters…. Lilly the dog (not kidding, she really loved that dog).

Special thanks to Amanda Burkhart, Kasey and Kylie Burkhart for all the extra care and attention they gave their grandma in the last several months. They were definitely there when she needed them most!

No service is planned. The family will have a private burial at a later date.

Any contributions can be made for Lilly’s vet bills to keep her fat and happy like grandma wanted her.
