James Drew Rickey

James Drew Rickey, 45, of Creston, passed away Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020 at his home after an Epileptic Seizure.

James was born Feb. 11, 1975 in Wadsworth to Larry D. and Karen (Massie) Rickey and was a graduate of Norwayne High School.  He served in the U.S. Navy Reserves   and worked as an independent contractor, refurbishing and restoring old buildings.   He attended North Winds Church near West Salem and enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting and target shooting.  His greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends, especially his girls.

Surviving are his daughters, Kayla Marcum, Davilee Marcum, Mary Rickey, Bethany Richey and Jayme Rickey; grandchildren, Octavia, Halle and Liam; his wife and mother of his children, Tayna (Marcum) Rickey of Wooster; his parents, Larry and Karen Rickey of Creston; sisters, Stephanie Rickey of Canton, Danielle Kiser of Spencer and Michelle Rickey of Creston; a nephew and 3 nieces and Alana Wurgler with whom he shared his life and had made his home with  for the past 3 years. 

Services will be Thursday, Dec. 31st at 1:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends will be received from 12:00 noon until time of services.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-home.com
