James R. Moyer

James R. Moyer, 83, of Kodak, TN and formerly of Creston, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 22, 2021.

Jim was born Nov. 7, 1937 in Canaan Township, Wayne County, OH to the late Harry E. and Margaret A. (Gantz) Moyer.  He was a 1955 graduate of Norwayne High School and attended Ohio State University, Baldwin-Wallace College and Whiteing Business College in Cleveland.  Jim married the former Darla J. Fetzer on July 20, 1963 in the Jackson Presbyterian Church in Creston and she survives. 

He was a member of the Kodak United Methodist Church, Seville Masonic Lodge #74 F.&A.M. and The Valley of Canton Scottish Rite.  Jim was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. 

Surviving are his wife, Darla; sisters, Linda (Al) McNeill of Chapin, SC and Jean (Don) Carpenter of Fredericksburg;  a brother, Scott (Charlene) Moyer of Doylestown; his step-mother, Lucy Landry Moyer of Wooster; and several nieces and nephews including nephews, Sam Moyer of Creston and Tim Moyer of Burbank.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Dixie Moyer.
