Idabelle Fetzer, 90, of Wooster and formerly of Canaan, passed away Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021 at Wooster Community Hospital after a brief illness.
Idabelle was born April 7, 1930 in Rittman to the late Alia H. and Oleta (Riggs) Artrip and married Lawrence E. Fetzer on April 9, 1949. Lawrence preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1998. Idabelle loved music and had played the piano at the Wooster Baptist Temple and West Hill Baptist Church. Over the years she enjoyed sewing, collecting dolls, tending to her flowers and caring for the birds. Idabelle greatest enjoyment was caring for her family and she will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her children, Larry (Diane) Fetzer of Massillon, Warren (Debra) Fetzer of Canaan, Julie Haselow of Ashland, Mona Fetzer-Atkins of Ashland and Lloyd (Debra) Artrip of Clayton, NC; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Beverly Artrip of Wooster; former son-in-law, Chip Haselow and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and brothers, Howard and Ray Artrip.
Family services will be Tuesday, Feb. 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. Stephen Olsen officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
