Helen Marie (Conrad) Jaquet

Helen Marie Jaquet, 97, of Wooster, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 11, 2022 at Danbury of Wooster after a period of declining health.

Helen was born on Aug. 16, 1924 in Green Township to the late Jacob and Mary (Gerber) Conrad and was a 1941 graduate of Sterling High School.  On Dec. 28, 1944 she married John P. Jaquet and John preceded her in death on March 16, 2002.  At the age of two her family moved to Milton Township where she lived until she and John moved to their farm in Canaan Township in 1956.  Helen was a faithful member of Oak Grove Mennonite Church where she was a member of the Seek and Serve Sunday School Class, the Women’s Mennonite Sewing Circle and where she taught Sunday School and Bible School.  While raising her family, she was active in the Norwayne Music Boosters and 4-H.  Helen enjoyed traveling but her greatest enjoyment was caring for and being with her family.

Surviving are her children and their spouses, Janet and Ronald Klett of Smithville, Donald and Phyllis Jaquet of Dalton, Donna and Bruce Kindy of Dalton, Dale and Marilyn Jaquet of Wooster and Dan and Linda Jaquet of Orrville; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Betty Conrad of Kansas.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John; grandson, Craig Jaquet, her parents; brothers, Harold and Warren Conrad and a sister, Wilma Weekley.

Services will be Monday, April 18th at 12:00 noon at Oak Grove Mennonite Church with Pastor Doug Zehr officiating.  Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.  Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at the church.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com  Memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 or to the Sewing Circle at Oak Grove Mennonite Church, 7843 Smucker Rd., Smithville, OH 44677.
