Warren Griffith, 74, of Sterling, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Akron City Hospital after a period of declining health.
He was born July 23, 1945 in Clay County, WV to the late William and Nellie Lillian (Brannon) Griffith and given the name, Harry Warren. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 31 years of service and had made his home in the Sterling area. Warren enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting. He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns Fan and enjoyed Country Music and TV Westerns.
Surviving are his children, Lisa Kasserman of Rittman, Marlin and his wife Cathy Griffith of Burbank and Laurie Gregan of West Salem; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and brothers, Ralph Griffith of Sterling and Dale Griffith of Seville and sisters and their husbands, Ann and Calvin Reed of Quaker City, Janice and Melvin Reed of Byesville, Vivian and Larry Keener of Rittman and Sheila and Edward Pauli of Akron and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Troy Griffith and step-grandson, Jared Butler,
Private family services will be Friday, April 17th at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. Glenn Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
