Greg was born on June 30, 1958 in Lodi to George and Gertrude (Stahl) Gorey and was a 1976 graduate of Cloverleaf High School. Greg owned and operated Bottom Line Trenching with his son, Daniel, and he enjoyed working with his customers and fellow contractors, and living amongst and helping his many Amish neighbors. His first love was always his family and he will be remembered for his great storytelling and for being honest to a fault. Greg had a unique personality and was loved and respected by many. Over the years, he dedicated time to help and support Homerville Scout Troop #459, Black River Pirate Marching Band, and assisting as a section leader for Wreaths for Western Reserve to honor veterans.

He was preceded in death by his father, George and brothers, Darrell Stahl, Ed Gorey and Roy Gorey, and mother-in-law Leanne Koenig.
