Fredia Marie (Pittman) Ferguson

Fredia Marie Ferguson, 86, of Wooster, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after a brief battle with Covid-19.

Fredia was born on Dec. 5, 1934 in Beallsville to the late Samuel and Ada (Reed) Pittman and married Luther Vernon Ferguson on June 13, 1953.  He preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 1981 and they are now together again.  She had worked at McIntire Basket Factory and had made her home in the Creston area most or her life.  Fredia enjoyed flowers and gardening and spending time with her grandkids.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Barbara Underwood and Vickie Ferguson of Wooster; Ernie (Rhonda) Ferguson and Tresia (Dawaine) Cutright of Creston and John Ferguson of Wooster; 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a brother, Larry (Sue) Pittman of Portage Lakes and many nieces and nephews.

Fredia was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, Ronald Eugene, a grandson, a son-in-law, William, "Pete" Underwood, a daughter-in-law, Cindy Ferguson and brothers and sisters, Harley, Vernon, Glen, Olen and Paul Pittman, Dessie Henthorne, Nelda Murphy, Doris Maynard, Erma Johnson, Beulah Ferguson, Shirley Gammell and Norma Pope.

Services will be Tuesday, May 18th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends will be received from 12:00 noon until time of services.  Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com   The family extends a special thanks to the staff at Wooster Community Hospital, ICU Dept. and LifeCare Hospice for the wonderful care given to their Mother.
