Frank Haight Obituary

Frank Thomas Haight, 84, of Creston, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022 at Wooster Community after a brief illness.

Frank was born in Wadsworth on March 19, 1938 to the late Thomas and Lucille (Johnson) Haight and graduated from the Carson Long Military Institute in Bloomfield, PA.  He then served two years in the U.S. Army.  Frank retired from Do It Best in Medina in 2005 and had made his home in Creston since 1979. Frank  enjoyed serving on the Creston Village Council for 12 years having worked on various committees in the community.  He was a member of the Medina Masonic Lodge #58, F.&A.M., V.F.W. Post 5137 and the Medina Eagles.  He was a diehard sports fan who loved the Cleveland and Ohio State sports teams.

Surviving are his wife, Dolly (Wiesen) Haight who he married on Nov. 4, 1992; his step-children, Rick Hartman of Smithville and Vicky (Mitchell) Staniford of Creston; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, John Haight of Strongsville; a sister, Christina Bauer of Wadsworth and a niece, Heidi (Todd) Voss.

Services will be Wednesday, Nov. 30th at 1:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services.  Burial will follow in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
