Eugene G. "Jim" Grossenbacher

Eugene G. “Jim” Grossenbacher, 82 of Holmesville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after a brief illness.
Jim was born on Jan. 26, 1940 on the family farm near Holmesville to the late John and Evelyn (Richeson) Grossenbacher and married Marjorie L. Miller on Oct. 10, 1969. He had worked at Regal Ware and had transported Amish in over the years. Jim enjoyed camping, boating, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He is remembered for being a jokester and for his favorite expression, “this is bull…”.  He will be greatly missed.
Surviving is his wife, Marge; his 3 children, Joanna and Russell Holbrook of Lucas, John and Kim Grossenbacher of Bellville and Lisa and Jerry Thompson of Canal Fulton; his grandchildren, William and his wife Brittany Tanner, Suzanna and her husband Jason McNichols, Taylor Grossenbacher, Tianna Grossenbacher, Tyler and his wife Makenna Roberts, JorJana Fisher, Lilianna Thompson and Philip Thompson; great-grandchildren, Carson and Benjamin Tanner and Carter and Collin Roberts and his sister, Marylee Wachtel of Shreve. 
He was preceded in death by his first wife Judy and infant son, Eugene “Jimmy” Jr. in 1963 and his parents.
Friends may call Sunday, Sept. 18th from 2-4 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home n Fredericksburg where service will be held at 4:00 p.m.  Graveside services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Westlawn Cemetery in Mount Eaton. Memorial co tribute is may be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
