In the moonlight of the early morning of Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, Eleanor Margaret “Elly” Ripley, 84, of Creston was set free from her lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease and was reunited with her beloved husband, Bob.
Elly was born on April 13, 1937 on the Barber Farm in Barberton to the late Elno Arthur and Sarah (Crawford) Jones and was raised in Doylestown where she attended Doylestown Schools. On Dec. 22, 1956 she married the love of her life, Robert B. Ripley and he preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 2017. She and Bob worked side by side as they operated Accurate Office Supply in Wadsworth from 1965 until retiring in 1999. Elly took great pride in the care of her home and her flower gardens that were always pristine. She was dedicated to her family and she is remembered for her love of playing the Ohio Lottery.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Joe Click of Creston, Cynthia and Mike Demiter of Wadsworth and Darlene and Tom Figura of Rittman; grandchildren and their spouses, Maria Click, Monica and Kyle Allen, Jennifer and Joe Henthorn, Elizabeth Demiter, Aleah and Adam Coates, Ethan and Skyler Demiter, Tiffany Figura and TJ Figura; great-grandchildren, Ariah and Ava Hopkins, Alaina, Anna and Avery Henthorn, Mason, Emmett, Gavin and Hannah Coates and Barrett Figura; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Judi Jones of Wadsworth; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Art Holden of Doylestown; sisters-in-law, Dory Jones and Janice Jones both of Doylestown and Nancy Ripley of Creston and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; brothers, Arthur Jones and William Jones and sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Denzil Lorson.
Services will be Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with burial following in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
