Edward A. Pamer, Sr., 80, of Seville passed away on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023 at the Wayne County Care Center after a period of declining health.
Ed was born on Feb. 24, 1943 on the family farm near Burbank to Adam W. and Mary (Herzog) Pamer and was a 1961 graduate of Norwayne High School. On June 16, 1962 Ed married Carol S. Schlauch and she survives. Ed loved to work and did many different things during his lifetime. He worked at Sears, was a life insurance agent for Lutheran Mutual for 24 years, was a house painter and wallpaper contractor and owned several businesses and properties. In recent years he enjoyed selling antique cars and tractors and was referred to by many as “Studebaker Man”. Ed was a lifelong member of Canaan Lutheran Church and was a member of the Studebaker Club of America and the Seville Historical Society. Besides working, Ed enjoyed fishing and going to car shows.
Surviving are his wife, Carol, his 3 children and their spouses, Christy and Jim Simo of Wooster, Tammy and Andy Parks of Akron and Edward Jr. and Melissa Pamer of Chippewa Lake; grandchildren, Jessica and her husband Jaime Hudgins, Nicholas and his wife, Brittany Parks, Emma Pamer and Sophie Pamer; great-grandson, Alexander Parks, sister, Helen Agnone of Louisville and a brother, Richard and his wife Diane Pamer of Creston.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Adam, John, James and Eugene and sisters, Rosemary Daum and Betty Neiman.
Services will be Friday, Sept. 1st, at 11:00 a.m. at Canaan Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Thoms officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. Memorial contributions may be made to Wayne County Care Center, 876 S. Geyers Chapel Rd. Wooster, Ohio 44691. The family extends their deepest thanks to the staff of the Wayne County Care Center for the wonderful care and love given to Ed.
