Duane D. “Dewey” Kimble Sr., 81, of Westfield Center, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020 after a lengthy illness.
He was born Nov. 27, 1938 near Ada to the late Virgil and Mildred (Spacht) Kimble and married the former Mary Lee Often on April 29, 1989. Dewey was a 1956 graduate of Westfield High School and retired from Westfield Companies after 40 years of service. He was a member of First Christian Church in Wadsworth and was a longtime member of the Creston Lions Club. He is remembered as a “Mr. Fix It” and he enjoyed golfing, traveling and collecting coins.
Surviving are his wife Lee; his three sons, Duane Jr. of Ross, OH, Michael of Salem, OH and Steven of Chester, TN; step-daughters, Seann Scarberry of Wadsworth, Stephanie (Chet) Brownfield of Palm Bay, FL and Stacy (Kevin) Breuers of Decatur, AL; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson; a brother, Vern (Marge) Kimble of Creston; a sister, Karen (Richard) Stoll of Seville his best friend, Larry Scott and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Linda Kimble who died the same day as him and brothers, Russel and Richard and infant brother, Joe.
