Donnie Lee Wright, 80, of Fredericksburg, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025.

Don was born in Killbuck on Sept. 6, 1945, to Everett and Lulu (Lowe) Wright and was a 1965 graduate of West Holmes High School.  He served in the U.S. Army from March 25, 1968 to March 12, 1970 having served in Vietnam as a radio operator.  On Sept. 25, 1982, he married Pamela Marie Hosfeld and together they had two children, Josie and Bud.  Don retired in 2010 from Seaman Corp. after 40 years and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Wooster and the Millersburg American Legion Post 192 where he had served on the Honor Guard.  Don had been a Boy Scout Leader and Little League Coach in Fredericksburg a was a loving Grandpa.

Surviving is his wife, Pam; daughter and son-in-law, Josephine and Phillip Botha Fredericskburg; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Andrea Wright of Owatonna, MN; grandchildren, Reinier, Oliver, Henry and Riaan Botha and Benjamin, Sofia, Jack and Emma Wright and sisters, Pat Haxton of Mount Vernon, Pauline Wolfe of St. Louisville, OH and Barbara Sue Mizer of Mount Vernon.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Paul Wright.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, Oct. 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Wooster with Father Stephen Moran as celebrant.  Interment will be in Fredericksburg East Cemetery.  Friends may call Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster, OH 44691.
