Donna Belle Summers

Donna Belle Summers, 91, of Fredericksburg passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at Sycamore Run Nursing Home in Millersburg after a three month illness.

Donna was born Sept. 8, 1928 in Clay County, WV to the late Dewey and Chessie (Dawson) Walker.  She married C. Rader Summers on Nov. 23, 1948 and he preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 2012. She retired from MetaFab in 1999 and had made her home in Fredericksburg since 1948.  Donna was a member of the Fredericksburg Church of Christ and enjoyed playing cards and bingo.  She will be remembered for working hard and always being busy and for the wonderful care she gave to her family.

Surviving are her children, Keith Summers of Okayama-ken, Japan, Richard (Linda) Summers and Kenneth (Doris) Summers both of Fredericksburg and Connie (Dennis) Snell of Lakeville; Grandchildren, Kerry (Dustin) Miller of Apple Creek, Michael Summers of Delaware, Jeremy Summers of Wooster, John (Andrea) Summers of Wooster, Nathan (Amy) Young of North Dakota and Corey Young of Lakeville; great-grandchildren, Ashtyn and Sophie Miller, Kenadie and Owen Summers and Kaityln and Abigail Young; a brother, Bobby Walker of Fredericksburg and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers, Lloyd and Earl and sisters, Fosteen "Sally" and Doris.

Private family services will be held Thursday, April 9th at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg.  Friends are welcome to pay their respects and sign the register at the funeral home on Wednesday between 2-5 p.m with the family not present.  Burial will be in Fredericksburg East Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Fredericksburg Library, 108 S.
