Dixie Lee Huffman, 73, of Creston, lost her battle with Pancreatic Cancer on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at home with Dale at her side.
Dixie was born Jan. 5, 1947 in Zanesville and was the daughter of Elmer and Eva (Barnhart) McFarland. For the past 31 years she worked at the Medina County Clerk of Courts where she enjoyed her co-workers. On Sept. 27, 2001 she married Dale Huffman and together they made their home in Creston where they were members of Canaan Lutheran Church. An avid reader, she read between 400 – 500 books on her Kindle and she and Dale were faithful in reading the Bible daily. Dixie enjoyed going to flea markets looking for collectible toys and antiques and she will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her husband, Dale; her 3 children, Rochelle Brewer, Angel Firkins and Beau Haupt; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; a step-son, Shane Huffman and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Brenda Pierce and a brother, Bill Patterson.
Private services and viewing will be held on Sunday, April 5th at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Paul Thoms officiating. A family burial service will be held at Canaan Lutheran Church Cemetery.
