Diane (Hoffman) Morrison

Diane Morrison, 83, of Wooster, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 after a lengthy battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Diane was born on Aug. 23, 1938 in Canton to the late Walter E. and Frances A. (Howell) Hoffman and graduated from Canton Lehman High School.  She received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Kent State and later earned her Master's Degree also from Kent State University.  Mrs. Morrison taught for 30 years with most of those years being at West Holmes Local Schools.  She retired in 1999. 

Diane was a member of Wooster United Methodist Church and throughout her life had taught youth and adult Sunday School, led Vacation Bible School and was involved in various Women’s Circles at the churches she attended.  She was active in the Walk to Emmaus and was a prayer warrior having prayed for salvation for her grandchildren, friends and family.  A lifetime lover of Lakeside, Ohio, she enjoyed countless summers with family and had also been a camp counselor at Lakeside.  Diane enjoyed reading and crocheting and will be remembered for her giving heart and for her charitable giving.

Surviving are her two children, Scott William Morrison of Columbus and Megan Diane Morrison of Ontario, OH; her grandchildren, Jonathan “Jack” Morrison, Ellie and her husband Doug Wait and Jenny Morrison; her sister, Linda Hoffman of Canton; nieces and nephews, Geoff and his wife Michelle Peterson, Ann and her husband Lorin Miller, Beth Peterson and Chris Peterson, and her three grand dogs.

Services will be Saturday, May 14th at 11:00 a.m. at Wooster United Methodist Church with Pastor James Cooper officiating.  Burial will be in Wooster Cemetery.  Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.  Murray Funeral Home in Creston is handling arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Lakeside Chautauqua, 236 Walnut Ave., Lakeside, OH 43440.
