Daniel E. Bowman, 78, of Creston, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021 at Summa Barberton Hospital after a brief illness.
Dan was born Nov. 16, 1942 in Lodi to the late Virgil and Charlotte (Ramsier) Bowman and married Pearl Marcum on Jan. 15, 1963. He retired from Wooster Products in 2006 and had made his home in the Creston/Canaan area all of his life. Dan was a member of Creston Presbyterian Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had coached Little League Baseball when his sons played and in later years always loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events.
Surviving are his wife, Pearl of 58 years; sons, Samuel Bowman of Rittman and John Bowman of Orrville; his 4 grandchildren, Ian (Hannah) Bowman of Michigan, Connor Bowman of Rittman, Zane Bowman and Gail Bowman both of Orrville; brothers, Gary (Inez) Bowman of Creston and Virgil Bowman of Oklahoma City, OK and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter-in-law, Michelle and a sister, Janet Rozell.
Services will be Thursday, Feb. 25th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Michael Van Arsdale. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery at a later date.
